What services are provided by Unity personal healthcare services?

Our services provide the following, Companionship, Shopping, Errands, Transportation services, Meal preparations, Housekeeping, Laundry, Hygiene assistance, Bathing, Grooming, Assistance with walking, Medication reminders, Assistance with Doctor appointments, Hospital Sitter services and Respite care.

What information is needed to begin personal healthcare services?

Name & Address of recipient. A brief description of personal care needs. Desired schedule to receive personal care services.

How long does it take to begin receiving personal healthcare services?

We strive to immediately begin setting up services after inquiry. Our Healthcare team of RN’s and/or Healthcare Coordinator’s will schedule at your convenience an in-home assessment to personalize the needs for yourself or loved one. This assessment gives us an overall view of needs and helps us to match the proper caregiver to the recipient.

Can you meet the assigned caregiver prior to receiving personal healthcare services?

YES! It is very important to us that we partner you or your loved one with the best caregiver that best suits the individuals personally and personal healthcare needs.

Can you keep the same caregiver once you begin personal healthcare services?

Our goal is to always provide the best services to our recipients in need of personal care by matching and keeping you or your loved one with the selective caregiver of your choice. If for some reason your favorite caregiver can’t assist you, we will notify you immediately and provide a substitute caregiver. If you haven’t met the substitute caregiver, one of our Healthcare coordinators will be there to introduce our caregiver and to make sure all instructions & schedules are covered putting your mind at ease. Just know that you can also request to change your caregiver if needed, simply contact us.

Can you receive personal healthcare services while in the hospital?

Yes! We provide Sitter Services, Care management and assist you with transition/relocation services. Just contact us and let us help to take some of the stress off you and your family during a hospital stay.

How does payment work for personal healthcare services?

Personal care service charges are set-up by the services the recipient is receiving. Some clients need minimum care while others may need 24 hour care. Clients may be set up as Private pay clients, Veterans, or Long-care term insurance clients. Our Healthcare team will review with you “All” options for payment prior to receiving your personal healthcare.

What are the guidelines to receiving Unity personal healthcare services?

In order to best serve our clients, we have written agreements that our Healthcare team will review with you prior to receiving any personal healthcare services. These agreements are based on the client’s needs. The agreement covers hourly increments starting from a minimum of 4 hour care up to 24 hour care.  There is also a  “Couples” rate needing personal healthcare together. At any time you need to change your schedule with us or discontinue your services, please contact our office as soon as possible to avoid any scheduled charges.  We look forward to providing the best personal healthcare services to you or your loved one!
